Who I am

I'm Tamar, trading as Tamar's Dog Walking & Animal Care in Heanor, Derbyshire. I decide how your information is used. You can contact me on 07840 749561.

What I collect

When you send the enquiry form I collect your name, phone number, email (if you give it), your dog's details, where you live (nearest town) and anything you choose to tell me. If you create a booking account I also keep your address, your dogs' details (name, breed, age, health and vet details, walking notes) and your booking history.

Why, and how long

I use it to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to look after your dog. This is on the basis of taking steps at your request before an agreement, and my legitimate interest in running my business. If you don't become a client I'll delete your enquiry once it's no longer needed. Booking account details are kept while you are a client. You can ask me to delete your account at any time, apart from anything I have to keep for tax or insurance.

Who sees it

Only me. The website is hosted by Netlify, which stores and passes on form submissions for me. Booking accounts are stored securely with Supabase, a database service that looks after the data for me. Other clients can never see your details or your dogs. I don't sell your information or use it for anything unrelated.

Body camera

I wear a body camera on walks, which can record video of people nearby. It is there for safety and to show you how your dog gets on. If you'd like to know more, just ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how I use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising. If you sign in to the booking page, your browser keeps a small sign-in token so you stay logged in. That is all it is used for.
