Tamar's Dog Walking& Animal Care

Hello, I'm Tamar!

More than just
a dog walk.

Enriching adventures for big, bouncy and sensitive dogs across Heanor. Every walk is packed with sniffing, exploring, gentle training and confidence building, so your dog comes home happy, settled and properly tired.

What makes us different

A normal walk tires the legs. Ours tires the brain too.

Twenty minutes of sniffing and problem-solving can tire a dog more than an hour of pavement plodding. Every walk mixes in enrichment, so your dog gets far more out of their time with us.

Sniffaris & scent games

Hidden treats, scatter feeding and slow sniffy routes. Sniffing calms the mind and is the best tiredness there is.

Calms busy minds

Dog parkour

Hopping onto stumps, logs and walls safely. It builds balance, body awareness and loads of confidence.

Builds confidence

Training on the go

Loose-lead practice, recall games and calm "look at that" work, all built into the walk and reinforced every time.

Recall & loose lead

New places to explore

Woods, fields and quiet trails, rotated so every walk smells new. Fresh sights and sounds keep busy minds happy.

Every walk on body cam

I wear a body cam on every walk, so I can show you how your dog gets on. Ask me about my DBS check and insurance any time.

My speciality

Big hearts, big dogs & sensitive souls

Large breeds and reactive dogs often miss out because walkers find them "too much". Not here. I love them, and I know how to help them feel safe.

  • Reactive dogs welcome after a free assessment, so I can plan walks that suit them
  • One-to-one walks on quiet routes, away from busy hotspots
  • Calm, positive handling and muzzle-friendly
  • No judgement on training tools. Prongs, e-collars, head collars, slip leads or harnesses: I'm happy to walk your dog in whatever works for you, as long as it's legal and fitted correctly
  • Building confidence step by step, at your dog's pace
  • Body cam footage, so you can see exactly how they got on
